Moby has arrived! I have a little brother! Let the pounding begin...he he.
So I'm going to keep on calling him Baby Moby, but to everyone else, he's Drew Zachary Weinberg, and he's terribly cute. Here he is:
Ha ha! I tricked you! That was actually me at 2 days old!
OK, so here is Baby Moby.
Isn't it freaky how much we look alike? He has the most amazing alien-like eyes. And his head was way less freakish than mine was. Remember how my head was like an Egyptian mummy? OK, since you asked, here are a few more snapshots.
At about 2 minutes old, right out of mommy's tummy:
Lying on daddy's chest at 12 hours old:
And his first meeting with his big brother, me! I found his wrinkly blue feet particularly fascinating.
And to make the ladies kvell, here's the obligatory "baby stare into mommy's eyes" photo:
All-in-all, I have a pretty darn cute little bro. I'm quite confident that when he's 16, he'll be attracting some very fine ladies to our Weinberg lair. But I get ahead of myself.
So we have some really good footage of me and Moby that I'll upload later. But I wanted to get these pictures posted because when my dad sent out his announcement email, he got two primary responses:
1) where are the pictures? well here they are.
2) will moby have his own blog? answer: er, he's only 2 days old. he can't read or write yet. leave the blogging to the big kids, like me. so maybe once in a while i'll let him guest blog through a translator, but for now feel free to type in www.drewweinberg.com and see where that nugget takes you!
On a side note, I'd like to apologize to the management of BP on behalf of toddlers everywhere. Many of you have probably heard of the settlement my PAC, BBB (Babies Behind Barack) ... which is in the process of being re-branded as POTTY (Political Organization of Toilet Trained Youths) ... negotiated with BP this week where BP will set aside 20 billion barrels of pure petroleum jelly for toddler butts everywhere. Some are calling this the worst shakedown since the song Shakedown by Bob Seger, and that song was just plain horrible. But I think we just went too far. I mean, what did BP ever do to toddlers? Well, except for the whole oil spill that ruins the coastline for my lifetime. But other than that, they do have a very green colored corporate logo.
Well anyway, I'm so excited to have Moby home with us. I'm sure it will be a tough transition, with lots of crying and tantrums, but Moby will get used to daily noogies.
Love,
Spencer
